Demulsifiers
NovaStar LP manufactures a complete line of emulsion breakers to enhance separation of produced hydrocarbons from other produced fluids. Oilfield emulsions are stable mixtures of immiscible fluids encountered in oilfield production operations. The emulsion is normally produced water, either from the formation or from condensation, entrained in the produced oil. This condition can be the result of the production process or production equipment mixing the produced crude and water in the presence of naturally occurring emulsifiers and production sediments.
No two emulsions behave the same and therefore breaking them can be a complicated task. The emulsion breakers must be selected on a case by case basis. Contact the NovaStar technical department for assistance in selection or formulation of the best emulsion breaker for your needs.
